Multimedia artist, Karla Sutra naturally tends toward the art of fire, the profoundly erotic link between food and the human body led her to create handmade ceramic tableware, called «surprise» inspired by the idea of the Sake cup

La Bisbal d´Empordà is the Catalan capital of ceramics, the first narratives about its potters were written in 1511. It is located between Figueres and Girona. The red clay, typical of the region, is worked here by generations of artisans, artists, creatives and alchemists. The art of fire is an ancestral know-how of the city, where you can find these beautiful potteries bordered by this red so characteristic obtained after the clay has been cooked and their Mediterranean colors.
